MMS is seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Full stack developer.  The successful candidate will join a dynamic and highly skilled Business Intelligence Team.       

The successful candidate will report directly to the BI Head of Department.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist: Developer to join our dynamic development team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications, leading technical projects, and mentoring junior developers. The ideal candidate is proficient in both front-end and back-end technologies and has a strong understanding of software architecture and agile methodologies.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Visual Basic.NET and C#.NET
• Write optimised SQL queries, stored procedures, and reports
• Excellent knowledge on designing and developing complex software applications
• Work with a team of software developers (internally and 3rd party software providers) to deliver products on time
• Maintain and improve existing code base; develop new product features and enhancements
• Recommend and implement changes to improve performance and reliability.
• Analyse business requirements and technical specifications, and architect solutions with high performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve software and integration issues
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into solutions
• Document technical implementations and changes
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployments
• Apply best practices in database development and administration
• Provide application support to business users where required
• Must be a fast learner. Be able to come up to speed on new applications and technology in a very short amount of time

• Degree or Diploma in a relevant field
• 8+ years' experience with .NET Core and .NET Framework (C#.NET and SQL)
• Experience with RESTful and/or SOAP API development and integration
• Strong SQL and RDBMS proficiency, including development, administration, optimisation and performance tuning
• Beneficial: Experience with JQuery, Java, PHP, X++
• Experience in designing and developing complex software applications
• Proficiency in stored procedures, triggers, and indexing strategies
